Our founder Phil Bianchi spent the first 20 years of his working life in various marketing roles for major Blue Chip companies before deciding to go it alone and launch the gift of oil in 2001.
Phil’s last corporate posting prior to launch was with a large olive oil company based in Athens.
Whilst in this position he fell in love with the Mediterranean way of life, the region's rich variety of food and in particular extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar! He also established important relationships with quality oil and vinegar making families, which were to stand him in good stead when launching his new venture and indeed have done so ever since!
The families we work with are now much more than mere suppliers, they are true family friends, who ensure that we are able to continue to offer only the very finest product to our many customers here in the U.K.
We import our estate oils and genuinely matured balsamic in bulk and then bottle and label in the U.K.
This allows us to offer superb products at very reasonable prices compared to those commanded by estate or acetaia branded alternatives, allowing you to buy the best quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar, online via the internet, over the phone, by mail order, at shows, through stockists or at our very own shop!
