PROVENCE, southern France

Castelines organic extra virgin olive oil is produced by Jean-Benoit Hugues and his wife Catherine from organic olive trees that are hundreds of years old on their estate in the heart of the sun drenched foothills of the Alpilles Mountains, Provence.
The very well balanced oil is an intensely flavoured blend of four olive varieties: Aglandau (66%), Salonenque (20%), Verdale (8%) and De Grossane (6%). This organic oil has a pungent aroma of sorrel, eucalyptus and woody herbs. Wonderfully smooth, it has flavours of freshly cut grass, raw artichoke, bitter rocket and a distinctively spicy green peppercorn finish. The oil comes in a tall elegant bottle with a striking gold label. HARVEST DATE: November 2017 best before end: November 2019
