
Italian Olive Oil
Italy is synonymous with olive oil and Tuscany is perhaps the Italian region most readily associated with it. However, Sicilian olive oil is increasingly becoming recognised as being amongst the best that the country has to offer too.
Our two Premium Italian oils are therefore not surprisingly drawn from these two wonderful regions!
Frescobaldi oil is created on the beautiful Castello di Nipozzano estate in Tuscany. The Ferscobaldi family are part of the Laudemio collective, a group of producers who, after the terrible frosts in Tuscany in 1985, when 90% of olive trees were killed, signed an agreement to guarantee the quality and provenance of their oil and relaunch Tuscan production by focussing on excellence, not quantity. It has a wonderfully fresh and clean flavour.
Whilst our very own Sicilian olive oil is made with our partners, the Di Lorenzo family on their magnificent Disisa estate in the north of the island. It is green and grassy with a lovely spicy finish.
