Our naturally infused Basil Olive Oil is created with just two ingredients; freshly picked basil leaves and premium quality, cold pressed, extra virgin olive oil. Our partners the The Di Lorenzo family own the magnificent Disisa Estate in Northern Sicily where olive trees over 100 years old grow alongside herb gardens and orchards. It is from here that basil is picked by hand, washed and then dried in the Sicilian sunshine before being infused into their renowned olive oil. After several days of stirring and tasting, the Di Lorenzo’s determine exactly when the basil has perfectly infused into the olive oil. When totally satisfied, the basil is removed and the delicious flavoured oil is bottled exclusively for The Gift of Oil.
Our basil infused olive oil is free from any artificial flavourings that you do find in many flavoured oils.
