That's it. No artificial flavourings, no extracts, and no unnecessary additives.
Our Basil Olive Oil is lovingly produced by the Di Lorenzo family on the beautiful Disisa Estate in Northern Sicily using their ancient olive groves, some over 100 years old, and their fragrant herb gardens.
The basil is hand-picked at its freshest and once harvested the individual leaves are gently washed before being spun in a salad spinner to remove any excess water. They are then laid out to naturally dry under the warm Sicilian sun. This careful process preserves the basil's vibrant aroma and flavour before being infused into the Di Lorenzo family's award-winning, high-polyphenol extra virgin olive oil.
Over several days, the oil is gently stirred and regularly tasted until the basil flavour within reaches the perfect balance. Only when the Di Lorenzo family are completely satisfied are the basil leaves removed, leaving behind an oil that is beautifully fresh, fragrant and bursting with authentic Mediterranean flavour!
Unlike many flavoured oils, ours contains no artificial flavourings, extracts or additives—just real basil and exceptional extra virgin olive oil.
