Vea Early Harvest extra virgin olive oil is produced in Catalonia by the 3rd and 4th generations of the Vea family on their estate high in the hills of the Les Garrigues. The oil is made from Arbequina olives, picked very early, at the beginning of September and harvested from trees of up to 200 years old that sit on ancient terraces carved into the hillside. The groves, though not all certified organic, are run in accordance with strict biodynamic principles.
Vea’s Spanish extra virgin olive oil is a richly flavoured one. It is a very aromatic oil with a fruity flavour and a sensation of freshness, as well as an aftertaste of almonds.
